Researcher and choreographer. Ex-ballerina and Founding Director of Ecuatorian National Ballet. Mexican by naturalization, she was Head of the Coordination of Dance of the National Institute of Fine Arts and Director of the National Dance Company and Co-founder and Director of Cenidi-Danza. She has held important posts in different organizations and institutions of theater and dance. She has organized colloquia of dance in regards to other areas of the development of the body and has promoted different dance competitions and awards in Mexico. Her research projects and publications are numerous. At present she is
President of the Mexican Society of Choreographers (Somec) and Executive Director of the Viva la Danza Foundation. She is a regular contributor to Ecuador News of New York and to La Pirouettte, Guadalajara, Jalisco. |

Gustavo Emilio Rosales is a journalist, researcher and critic that has contributed to various national publications and anthologies on art and culture. He actively participates as a permanent member of the board of critics at the Monaco Dance Forum, is a founding member of the Escuela del Espectador, where he is area director for dance. He is also an honorary member of the Colegio Coreográfico de México. Investigador del Centro Nacional de Investigación, Información y Documentación de la Danza, "José Limón” and is the autor of the book “Intemperancia y situación de una Atopía, las actuales tendencias conceptuales y estéticas de la danza contemporánea mexicana, which was supported by FONCA and is director of DCO: Danza, Cultura del Cuerpo, Obsesiones de la imaginación contemporánea, a magazine of specialized journalism and dance criticism. 2005 Participant. |

Maura Keefe is a dance historian and choreographer. She is a Scholar-in-Residence at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, and has led audience programs at UCLA, the Goethe Institut, The Kitchen Performance Space, and for DanceCleveland. Her current research areas are the exploration of the choreography of talking dancing in contemporary dance and the relationship between dance and sports. Her work has been published in the book Taken By Surprise: A Dance Improvisation Reader, The International Dictionary of Modern Dance, and The Encyclopedia of Gay History and Culture. She has a BA with Honors in Dance and English from William Smith College, an MFA in choreography and performance from Smith College, and a PhD in dance history and theory from University of California, Riverside. She is an assistant professor of dance at the State University of New York at Brockport. 2005 Participant. |

Valerio Cesio has been artistic director and choreographer for the companies Tempo Ballet de Buenos Aires, Compañía de Danza del Estado de Río Grande do Sul, Terra Compañía de Danza de Porto Alegre and Geraes Compañía de Danza de Belo Horizonte de Brasil. Since 1984 he has been choreographer and artistic director of Núcleo Danςa de Porto Alegre, which performs productions in Brazil and Argentina and tours Europe with performances in Paris, London, Cassis, Rome and Madrid. Since 1992, he has been intensely active as a critic, curator and consultant for events and institutions en Latin America and Europe. He has created more than one hundred original works and as an expert in dance, he teaches courses and conferences, consults for events, participates in panels of judges and writes critical dance reviews for various specialized publications in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Cuba, USA, Spain, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela. 2005 Seminar Participant. |

Analía Melgar is a dancer, a dance therapist and a dance journalist. As a journalist specialized in dance, she contributes regularly in magazines and newspapers in Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Ecuador and Spain. She has edited and contributed to the book Puentes y atajos. Recorridos por la Danza en Argentina. She received her degree from the University of Buenos Aires, where she currently teaches in the Department of Philosophy and Letters and also conducts research. She also participates in conferences, teaches in seminars and conducts courses dedicated to the art of choreography and cultural events criticism. Se also works in the editorial field, as an editor, proofreader and translator. She is the editorial coordinator of the magazine DCO: Danza, Cultura del Cuerpo, Obsesiones de la imaginación contemporánea. 2005 Participant. |

Dancer, Choreographer and Researcher. Founder and President of the Interamerican Confederation of Dance (C.I.A.D.), an organization that promotes the union of dance professionals in Latin America, advancing its development and perfection. With over a hundred international events in nine countries of the Americas and Europe, the C.I.A.D. consults, fiscalizes and coordinates these events, creating professional consciousness and founding National, State, Provincial and Departments of Dance Professionals throughout the continent. Together with many world-renown personalities such as Ballet Russes, Du Marquês du Cuevas, Bolshoi, Kirov, and others, he has participated in the role of judge for many events. He is constantly perfecting himself in all areas of dance; being in constant contact with the dance world has provided the ability to coordinate Congresses, Symposiums, Seminars, etc. and allowed him to be at the forefront of the art of movement in a large part of the world.
